Job Description 

Wirepas is looking for a talented Engineer to join our Customer Success team in India. You will join a dynamic, multicultural and fast growing team of 13 people focused on making things happening with our customer globally. 

Your primary responsibility is to help our partners in the Smart Metering segment to develop their products/solutions based on Wirepas products from development  to mass production. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support our Metering customers from onboarding to mass deployment.
  • Provide timely responses to technical requests from our customers.
  • Take ownership to resolve customer issues with quality and reactivity.
  • Demonstrate proactive customer support by suggesting optimization opportunities.
  • Drive root cause analysis and service improvements involving bug reporting in close partnership across engineering teams. 

This position requires regular domestic travel to visit customers, and occasional international travel. 

About you 

You might be the person we are looking for if you have an Engineering Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, and a proven experience in Smart metering.

Soft skills:

  • Combine autonomy and team player: you are a self-starter who can easily work in a remote environment, relying on an effective time-management and a strong sense of accountability. You also like working with teams of diverse talent and functions, from Sales to R&D and testing.  
  • Deep sense of customer service: problem solving attitude to understand, fix and improve our customer systems. 
  • Strong communication skills: whether with colleagues or customer, communication is key!

Technical skills:

  • Embedded software engineer with the following skills
    • ARM Cortex-M processor knowledge 
    • C, Python languages
  • Smart metering solution development or deployment based on Indian standards
    • IS15959 part 2 and associated standards
    • DLMS protocol
    • Overall experience with wireless communication either based on RF Mesh or cellular.
  • Experience in customer support, or field application engineering is a plus
